According to the today's environment, humans have created almost 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic since the early 1950s, and most of it now resides in landfills or the natural environment, according to the study has found in Los Angeles.
In this amount of plastics, 6.3 billion tons of it had already become a waste and in this total waste only 9 percent was recycled, 12 percent was burned and 79 percent accumulated in landfills or the natural environment.
If these plastic trends continue, an almost roughly idea is that 12 billion metric tons of plastic garbage will be in landfills or the natural environment by last in 2050, researcher's said.
"Most of the plastic can't biodegrade in any condition. So you can say that these plastic waste humans have generated, could be with us for hundreds of evenly thousands of years", according to the associate professor of engineering at University of Georgia (UGA).
These million to billion metric plastics increased from 2 million metric tons to over 400 million metric tons approximately from 1950 to 2015, which was published in the Journal Science advances.
"Half of the plastics which I told you above become waste after four or fewer years of use", said by Geyer.
According to the researchers, what will be the solution to remove or destroy this plastic consumption? This is a major issue in all over the world. How to come out from this problem? Any body doesn't know because plastic has become our weakness without we can't survive in this world.
We must find the solution to this problem as soon as possible!
